aNNOUNCEMENTS

Dear all patients and friends,

Due to staffing shortage, there will be no Tue and Fri evening consultation sessions for the first 2 weeks of June (2nd June, 5th June, 9th June and 12th June). The other sessions will continue as per usual.

For those 2 weeks:
- Dr Jack will do an additional session on the Friday afternoons (5th and 12th June);
- Dr Sarah will do an additional session on Monday afternoon (8th June).

Dear all patients,

We will be trialing the use of QR online queue registration for walkin patients from 6th April 2026. Do note that this will be only for queue registration for patients wanting to be seen for the particular session.

The QR queue registration will open 15min after the session starts and close when we have reached capacity. Eg from 8.45am (morning session), from 2.15pm (afternoon session) and 6.45pm (evening session).

Do note that the above QR registration option is for general consulting only, Those requiring procedures (eg LPA, disability assessments, dewaxing, IUCD placements, etc) will still need an appointment.

For patients or domestic helpers needing phlebotomy services (eg pre-arranged blood tests or MOM check up), you may also make use of the QR registration to see our clinic nurses:
- Ms Artitaya Maneechai ; or
- Ms Kan Sokvoeun

From March 2018 Drs Sarah Packer and Jack Lee will be extending their consultation hours to run a joint clinic every weekday morning.

Rapid influenza test kits are now available at Katong Family Clinic. This procedure takes less than 10min to complete and obtain results.

With this diagnostic aid we can more accurately diagnose and differentiate the flu strains vs bacterial illness to decide on further treatment with Tamiflu or antibiotics!

Katong Family Clinic now offers in house Dengue tests. This test is easily and quickly performed using a finger prick (similar to that of diabetes testing) to obtain the blood and the process takes less than 20 min!
